Does The Chris Canty Foundation only help youth involved in sports?

Our primary aspiration is to provide assistance to all youth in the community, regardless of whether or not the child participates in athletics.

What does The Chris Canty Foundation do?

The Chris Canty Foundation has outlined a series of initiatives that focus, entirely, on enhancing the lives of each child that we are able to reach. To fulfill these objectives, we typically utilize a sports platform to incite positive change. Through mentoring, educational programs, fitness activities, and community service we are able to instill a sense of values, self-esteem, health and overall well-being.

There are a lot of agencies out there.  Why should I donate to The Chris Canty Foundation?

It has been said that, “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.” The Chris Canty Foundation works to carefully build, develop and prepare our communities’ youth for a generation of success. Your donation, in conjunction with extensive research, grass roots efforts and partnerships, will help us support adolescents in our community.

Are donations to The Chris Canty Foundation tax-deductible?

The Chris Canty Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable organization that is recognized under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and all donations are tax deductible. Please speak with a tax consultant for more information.

I can only afford to donate a small amount.  Is it worth giving at all?

Yes, every gift is worth giving and every donor is considered a valued contributor, regardless of the amount donated. There are many ways to support the initiatives of the Chris Canty Foundation, these methods include: volunteering, individual monetary donations, in-kind donations, sponsoring a child, fundraising events, and program sponsorship.

How do I know where my contribution is well spent?

The Chris Canty Foundation ensures that every contribution and donation is spent on programs that will enhance the development of our communities’ youth.

I’ve heard about charities that keep most of the money they raise.  What about The Chris Canty Foundation?

The funding that is generated through various fund-raising initiatives are dispersed 
between youth programs within the Chris Canty Foundation.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the following counties: Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Cabarrus, and Iredell.  In addition, the Chris Canty Foundation serves youth in Greater New York/Tri-State areas as well.

Is there training available for volunteers?
